By accepting our Terms and Conditions, you commit to upholding the values of Islam, especially as someone looking for a potential life partner for their children. Sakeena is a platform designed for parents. To maintain a halal environment, we invite Muslim parents and guardians (Walis) to create profiles, facilitating the journey of finding the right match for their sons and daughters.
Sakeena upholds the importance of guardians in this process. To respect privacy and adhere to Islamic principles, registration for female members must be facilitated by their guardians. Guardians are asked to provide their contact information during the registration process to act as intermediaries. This approach is designed to ensure respect and privacy for all members while fostering a secure environment for connections.
To maintain the integrity of our process and respect for cultural and religious practices, female members' profiles are to be managed by their appointed guardians. Sakeena entrusts guardians with the responsibility of accurately representing their wards in a respectful and honest manner. We believe this guardianship model supports our commitment to providing a safe, respectful, and value-driven platform.
It is crucial to note that, in our commitment to privacy and respect, even when Wali's create profiles for their daughters, we do not request pictures. Furthermore, recognizing that brothers are not required to have Wali's, we allow them to create profiles for themselves. We have deliberately omitted a messaging feature for socializing, setting us apart from other platforms, and reinforcing our commitment to a purposeful and values-driven experience.
It is important to highlight that Sakeena is not a dating website or app, matchmaking service, or a marriage bureau or agency. Dating is considered haram (forbidden) in Islam, and Sakeena respects this principle. Instead, it's a simple platform that facilitates connections between parents seeking suitable spouses for their children, all within the boundaries of Islamic values.
Let us remember that Allah (swt) is ever-watchful of our actions, both online and offline. It's important to highlight that our platform isn't intended for dating purposes; rather, we are dedicated to facilitating connections between parents and guardians (walis) and paving the way for them to guide the journey toward marriage. All subscriptions, renewals, and cancellations for the mobile app are managed by either Google Play or the Apple App Store. If you wish to cancel your subscription, update your payment method, or manage any subscription details, you must do so through the respective app store where the subscription was initiated
Sakeena reserves the right to update, change, remove, or make any modifications to our plans or packages at any time without prior notice. Any such changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our platform or through other communication methods. It is your responsibility to review these changes, and continued use of the Service after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of these changes.
Sakeena charges you for the use of the Service through an online account. By using your Billing Account, you agree to pay all applicable fees at the current rates for any usage of the Service and authorize Sakeena to charge the payment method you have selected ("Payment Method") for these services. You commit to fulfilling payment obligations using the chosen Payment Method. Additionally, Sakeena retains the right to rectify any billing errors or inaccuracies, even if payment has already been requested or received.
Your subscription fees will be billed to the payment method linked to your Google Play or Apple account. Any billing issues should be addressed directly with the respective platform.
YOU MUST PROVIDE CURRENT, COMPLETE, AND ACCURATE INFORMATION FOR YOUR BILLING ACCOUNT. It is essential to promptly update all information to keep your billing account up-to-date (such as changes in billing address, credit card number, or credit card expiration date).
If you are subscribing through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, the terms of service of the respective platform (Google Play or Apple) will govern any changes in the amount authorized for your subscription. Please refer to their policies regarding notifications for changes in billing amounts and other related terms. By subscribing, you consent to Google or Apple charging your Payment Method in accordance with their terms. Sakeena is not responsible for handling payment processing directly, as this is managed through the respective platform.
All subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled through the respective app store at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your chosen payment method will be charged for the renewal at the standard rate for the subscription tier.
By not canceling or by continuing to use the Service, you are reaffirming that Google Play or Apple App Store (depending on your platform) is authorized to charge your Payment Method in accordance with their terms of service. These platforms manage the processing of subscription payments, and you are responsible for ensuring payment through their services. This authorization does not affect Sakeena's right to seek payment for any services not covered by the subscription. Payments for subscriptions are handled directly through Google Play or Apple App Store and are governed by their respective billing policies.

Fees and Membership: Registration on our Platform offers both free and paid subscription options. While browsing the site without registration, you're still bound by our Terms of Use; if these are not acceptable to you, please refrain from using the site. Upon registration, you become a valued member of Sakeena. You have the flexibility to choose a membership plan that suits your preferences, in accordance with our fee schedules.

If you suspect your password has been compromised, please notify us immediately and reset your password.
Photograph Policy: In keeping with our commitment to Islamic values, only male members are required to upload their photographs. We do this to maintain the privacy and respect for our female members. We encourage our members to present themselves in a manner that reflects Islamic principles. Please ensure that any content shared on the platform is appropriate and in line with Islamic etiquette. Sakeena reserves the right to remove any content or photographs at our discretion, without member consent.
Sakeena commits to implementing suitable and fair measures to protect the security of data sent to us electronically via the Platform or through other means, ensuring it remains inaccessible to unauthorized individuals or entities.
By using our services, you acknowledge the inherent risks involved in transmitting data electronically, including the potential interception of such data by unauthorized parties before it reaches Sakeena or their unauthorized access to our data storage. These unauthorized entities might misuse the intercepted data. While Sakeena strives to prevent such unauthorized access, we cannot be held liable for protecting against all possible breaches by such parties. Please note, our Platform does not retain any credit or debit card information.

By contributing your content to this Platform, you are granting Sakeena a global, non-exclusive, irrevocable, and royalty-free license to replicate, utilize, publish, disseminate, and translate your submitted content across any media currently known or developed in the future, as Sakeena sees fit at any given time.
Sakeena is not obligated to monitor content submitted by users nor required to remove any User Generated Content shared on the Sakeena Platform. Nevertheless, Sakeena retains the exclusive authority to inspect any material posted on the Platform and to eliminate any content at its discretion.
Sakeena maintains the right to disclose any information deemed necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal procedure, or governmental request, or to edit, decline to publish, or remove any user communications or materials, entirely or partly, at Sakeena's sole discretion.
Sakeena does not endorse or take responsibility for the content, messages, or information found in any User Generated sections. As such, Sakeena expressly disclaims any liability related to such content and any consequences arising from your interactions with such content.

Our community is exclusively for Muslims, committed followers of Islam. Members interested in connecting with others for marriage must be single, without being currently married or in the process of separation. Despite Islamic permissions for polygamy, our platform does not support the search for multiple spouses, in alignment with local legal constraints. Parents are encouraged to assist their single children in finding suitable partners by registering on their behalf.
We hold the right to discontinue membership for anyone with a felony, a conviction of serious moral offenses, or those mandated to register as sex offenders, at our discretion. Although it's not our standard practice to perform criminal background checks, we reserve the authority to conduct such checks at any time without prior notice to members.
Members must ensure their profiles are truthful and current. Photos uploaded (applicable for male profiles only) should be recent, taken within the last year, and must accurately represent the member. All information provided in the member profiles must be clear, completely truthful, and free from any false or misleading content. Parents creating profiles for their children must adhere to these same standards. Membership is exclusively for individuals genuinely seeking marriage partners and should not be used for other purposes. Additionally, the use of matchmakers is prohibited on this platform, and any matchmakers found will be removed.
Linking to our Platform is prohibited without explicit prior written approval from us. Our site may feature links to external sites owned by other businesses or entities, over which Sakeena exercises no control. We are not accountable for the accuracy, content, advertising, products, or services offered on these external sites. Furthermore, Sakeena does not bear responsibility, either directly or indirectly, for any harm or loss reported as a result of utilizing or depending on the content, advertisements, products, services, or other resources available on these external platforms.
You expressly agree that use of the Platform is at your sole risk. Sakeena may at any time and at its sole discretion terminate your membership, account, or other affiliation with our site without prior notice for violating any of the above provisions. In such case, you are not entitled to a refund of any unused subscription fees, if applicable. In the event of termination, you will still be bound by your obligations under this Agreement, including the warranties made by you, and by the disclaimers and limitations of liability. Additionally, Sakeena shall not be liable to you or any third-party for any termination of your access.
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada, without regard to their conflict of law principles. Both you and Sakeena consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the provincial and federal courts situated within the province of Ontario, Canada.
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Sakeena with respect to the Platform and supersedes all prior agreements, understandings, negotiations, and discussions, whether oral or written.
Please be aware that Sakeena reserves the right to update and modify these Terms and Conditions of Use at its sole discretion. Kindly review the Terms and Conditions of Use regularly for any changes. Your ongoing use of this Platform after the posting of any modifications to the Terms and Conditions of Use indicates your acceptance of those changes. In the event of any breach of these Terms and Conditions of Use, Sakeena retains the right to pursue all remedies available in law and equity for such violations.
Our objective with Sakeena is to align with Islamic principles, and any positive outcomes from this Platform are solely due to the mercy of Allah (swt). Acknowledging our human imperfections, you agree not to hold us accountable on the Day of Judgment for any mistakes or shortcomings by accepting these terms and conditions.
